The Best Burger in Rome Goes to…


Finding food that is “out of culture” here in Rome can sometimes be a tedious task. Of course, I love my pasta and pizza, which is part of the reason why Italy became home for me 7 months ago, but it doesn’t hurt to have an “ethnic” meal every now and then. Asian, Mexican, and in this case…a good-old, juicy hamburger comes to mind.

This past weekend, Jared and I stopped by Tommi’s Burger Joint for lunch, which is located in the center of Rome in the Prati neighborhood. The perfect location to grab a bite after doing some shopping on Cola di Rienzo or after visiting the Vatican and St. Peters Basilica.

Under the Tuscan Sun

Last week, Jared and I got the chance to explore and visit the Tuscan countryside of Italy for 3 days. It had been a little over 2 months since we last traveled outside of Rome so¬†we felt it was the perfect time for a change of scenery. Not only that, but we were overdue for some peace and quiet. Over the course of our time in Rome we have heard only great things about Tuscany from those who know Italy best, and I can confirm it’s all true. The landscapes are absolutely amazing, the food is incredible, and the people are beyond hospitable and friendly. Continue reading
