Positano-Amalfi Coast

Three years after traveling to Positano for the first time, we finally made it back and took a weekend trip there from Rome over the holiday weekend. Positano was my favorite place we traveled to during our first vacation in Italy in 2015. I always knew we would be back eventually but I never could have imagined that the events would have unfolded in the way that they did and we would be making our return to Positano after coming up on 2 years of living abroad.

Positano is a special place and one that I’m quite fond of. It’s a cliffside village in the south of Italy, located on the Amalfi Coast, very well-known for its insanely beautiful and picturesque landscape. You have probably seen many photos on Instagram of this town with its colorful houses perched among hills with stunning mountains and beaches alongside it. Let me just tell you…photos do not do this place justice and you will just have to check it out for yourself to really appreciate its beauty in person.

Under the Tuscan Sun

Last week, Jared and I got the chance to explore and visit the Tuscan countryside of Italy for 3 days. It had been a little over 2 months since we last traveled outside of Rome so¬†we felt it was the perfect time for a change of scenery. Not only that, but we were overdue for some peace and quiet. Over the course of our time in Rome we have heard only great things about Tuscany from those who know Italy best, and I can confirm it’s all true.
