Last weekend, a group of friends and I were welcomed with open arms into the wonderful town of Orvieto by a dear friend and The Beehive owner, Linda Martinez, who happens to call Orvieto home. Orvieto is situated in the region of Umbria, which is also considered il cuore verde d’Italia¬†(the green heart of Italy), for obvious reasons.

My One Year Blogaversary

It’s been one whole year since I published my first blog post on lacasabloga.com. A whole 365 days, 52 weeks, 8,765 hours has gone by…however way you want to look at it. So much has changed for me over this past year. If you have been keeping up with me via my blog, YouTube channel, Facebook, or Instagram, you probably know what major life changes I’m talking about.

Being the introvert that I am, I was very hesitant, at first, about putting my life online. Sharing with others my experience, thoughts, and who I am for fear of being judged. But, as I get older, I realize what things are more important to me and what I find joyful in life and that includes sharing my life with all of YOU, regardless of what others may think and say.

3 Months in Italy: Week Recap

Recently Rome has been seeing the first signs of Fall with temps are low as in the 50’s and I am not complaining one bit. Every time I walk out of the house I see the Italians bundled up in winter jackets and scarves and silently laugh a little inside. It reminds me of the Floridians when I lived in Miami that thought anything below 70 is freezing. So despite the lack of warmth, I finally have a reason to pull out some long sleeve shirts and jackets out of the suitcase that have been collecting dust the past couple of months.
