Top 5 Instagram Accounts to Follow for Self-Care

I think the older and older we get, the more we realize how vital self-care is to our overall well-being. This includes saying “no” more often, soaking in a luxurious bubble bath after a long day of work or simply taking a day off social media to be more present in the moment around loved ones.

Whatever the case may be, or how busy our schedules are, there really is no excuse not to make time for ourselves in the midst of a world that is pulling and tugging us in all directions. And although social media may not be the best answer to relax and disconnect, I wanted to share these Instagram accounts that promote self-care to the fullest. Now, pour yourself a glass of wine and get to following…

Girls Night In-Β  The Girls Night In club is the weekly newsletter I most look forward to. I feel like they just totally get me, and most other women, who would just rather stay in and binge watch Netflix on a Saturday night. Their posts always remind me to be kind to myself and hit the pause button when I need it most.

Girlboss– All the memes, quotes and images that make me damn proud to be a woman I can find through Girlboss. I loved the founder, Sophia Amoruso, after reading her first book #girlboss, and have been keeping up with everything Girlboss Media ever since.

Recipes for Self Love– A simple saying goes a long way. When you are feeling a little down and out or are in need of some positive affirmations (because we could all use it), just pop on over to this account. Not only are the phrases so spot on, but the illustrations that accompany them are a perfect pairing.

Brit + Co– when I think of the term “self-care”, I think about things that make me feel good about who I am. Whenever I come across Brit + Co’s account, I always see positive messages that lift me up. Not to mention, they also support, educate and create content revolving around women.

No matter how busy your life may be, you are never too busy to take care of yourself. If you don’t appreciate and love yourself mentally, physically and emotionally, then who will? I like to practice self-care during my morning routine or when I get home, after a long day. There are plenty of forms of self-care. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy or time-consuming. It can be as simple as coloring, reading a book, flossing your teeth or going for a walk.

What have you done recently for self-care? Are there any other accounts you follow for some much-needed self-care tips? Feel free to drop them below.

All my love,

I don’t know her, but I follow for sure a hundred of them πŸ˜† it would be interesting to see your recommendations! In my feed the Russians are doing insta-blogs, with subjects and a lot of texts. While the rest are just about nice photos. I didn’t know that English speakers choose a niche and write too.

Yea I think most accounts I follow are about less words, and more so the quality of the photos. And some do have an insta-blog, where they don’t have an actual website but instead their IG account is like their “profile”.
