It’s that time of the year again. In addition to making our lists and checking them twice, shopping for friends and loved ones is in full swing. However, after buying for “framily” year after year, it gets more and more difficult to stay creative as far as the gift picking department is concerned.
As well, gift giving is going to be a little harder for me this year since I am overseas, but since most sites offer the option to have the item delivered directly to the recipients home, it makes the process a little smoother. Below I’ve rounded up the best gifts for your loved ones, co-workers, friends, or anyone else! And some things I have been eyeing myself π
For the creative type: Recently, I have been all about supporting small, mom-and-pop businesses. Being able to communicate with the artist when placing an order is really something special and you wouldn’t be able to experience this when placing an order with a big company. Some small businesses I have been loving recently for the art-lover in your life are:
Chipper Things by Becky Simpson– a quirky, fun website full of art prints, cards, notebooks, totes, and more. Gift the perfect notebook for bullet journaling to anyone who will appreciate Becky’s unique designs and sense of humor. Because writing your to-do list every morning is always easier with a smile.
LadyNoelDesigns by Lauren Noel– I have seriously been obsessing over Lauren’s art pieces for yearsss now and secretly vowed to own one of her pieces once I have my own place again (digital nomad probs). I stumbled upon her account on Instagram one day and am in awe of every piece she creates. Hopefully one day I will be able to have a portrait done because I love how she does those specifically, but I think her work is a great gift for anyone’s home. Send her a picture of someone and she will re-create it…you will be amazed with the results. I only wish I had half the talent this woman does!!
For the beauty lovers:
Colourpop cosmetics- I made my first purchase with Colourpop last year when I purchased their Ultra Matte Lip Glosses. All I can say is….for $5 a pop you really can’t beat that. The quality is great, stays on for so long, and colors are amazing. Why spend 3 times as much on similar products (*cough, cough* Kylie cosmetics)..just saying. I wanted to purchase more this year but just can’t stomach paying so much to have it shipped to Italy. They have cute, little sets that would make the perfect stocking stuffers.
Glossier– I am honestly, low-key, bummed that they don’t ship internationally because I really want to try their products out. They have a gift guide on their site that makes shopping for that girly girl super easy. I love how unique and simple their packaging is and can’t wait to try out some of their products.
The Bless Box– Having been subscribed to monthly subscription services such as Ipsy and Birchbox for over 2 years, it’s safe to say I am a huge fan of these subscription boxes. Recently, one of my favorite bloggers announced her Bless Box, which is a subscription box service she is starting and launches December 19th. Perfect gift to give someone in your life that is a skincare/makeup junkie and loves to try new things!
For the wanderlusters:
Away suitcase- Travel has become a huge part of my life in the past year, so I knew I had to include this category. I have never personally been one to invest a lot of money on travel gear, but as I get older I realize how important it is to have a really nice, sturdy suitcase. The thing that really sold me about this suitcase is the fact that it has a built-in phone charger….yes, you read that right. I mean I know we all have the struggle of a dying phone, especially when we’re racing to catch our flight in time. Am I right or am I right?
A personal travel planner– I know many people, including my parents, that take a trip somewhere and don’t know how to PLAN their trip. Having a somewhat organized schedule of what to do while on vacation, takes the stress out of deciding the morning of and wasting time sitting around the hotel room trying to figure it out. Sure, it’s great to have some “chill” days too which I highly encourage. Recently, my friend and fellow blogger, Emily, launched her trip planner services which takes the stress out of planning your trip to have her do it for you! Know someone taking a much needed vacation soon? Have Emily figure out all the details from where to eat, what to see/do, etc. This girl seriously knows everything about every city…check out her blog posts if you don’t believe me. She’s good!
Well, those are my picks for the best gifts of 2016 in my opinion. All items I personally would love gifted to myself or for someone else. Sorry, I do realizeΒ some of these gifts are personalized more towards women, but men don’t really care what they get, or do they? I feel like they are easier to please π
Let me know below what items you are gifting this year. Maybe I missed some cool items that I didn’t mention in the above list. Happy Holidays!
All my love,
Estrella

Thank you Estrella! I so appreciate all the support. You are too kind! These are all really great suggestions and I fall in to every category! Haha. I actually do need some new luggage and I couldn’t resist some ColourPop for the holidays. Hope you are having a great week. What are you guys doing for Christmas in Rome??

Those are great suggestions, especially Colourpop <3. I've been into art prints lately and that's a great gift for loved ones as well. Etsy.com is a great website that ships internationally to find basically anything you need. The Body Shop ships internationally I believe and they usually have free shipping with great $5 stocking stuffers. I'll definitely be checking out Bless Box sounds cool π
