Fall Wardrobe Staples for Minimalists

Fall Wardrobe Minimalist Essentials

Fall is slowly starting to become my favorite season because of the weather we are currently experiencing in Rome; minus all the rain! Another plus is the fact that I can finally experience seasons again! It’s such a nice thing when I can see the leaves changing colors, similar to the transition in everyone’s wardrobe from those hot, humid summer days to now, the cooler Fall months here in the Eternal City.

Since my wardrobe seems to lean over to the minimalist side nowadays, I wanted to highlight the items that I have been wearing the hell out of lately and can’t live without. To see how I style them, check out the video below.

My fall wardrobe essentials:

  1. To start, these Nasty Gal denim jeans are probably my favorite purchase of the year hands down. I purchased them at the Santa Monica Nasty Gal location earlier this year. I have really been diggin the denim on denim look as of lately. Every girl has to have her perfect pair of jeans. I have been putting more use to these recently since the weather has started cooling down.

2. I don’t know where I would be without my black skinny jeans. I purchased these here in Italy; my favorite part is the detail on the knees. I paired the look with my favorite plaid shirt and denim jacket. Black never goes out of style and these can be worn dressed up or dressed down.

3. I have been wanting a denim jacket for the longest. I came across this one at a local OVS clothing store. I love the ripped detail on it and light wash. The great thing about these closet staples is that they can be paired with just about anything.

4. I have had this leather jacket for a few years now. I think everyone should have a leather jacket in their closet. I really like that the material is super soft, and the detail on the jacket as well.

As you can tell, the items I mentioned and styled around are very basic pieces that everyone may already have in their wardrobe. Since I didn’t bring all of my clothes here to Italy, I wanted to focus on the main pieces that I feel are essential for this time of year.

Let me know what your go-to pieces for fall are and how you like to style them!!

All my love,

My go-to pieces for fall are plaid/flannel shirts, sweaters, black tights, leather jackets, and blanket scarves. I love to style the plaid/flannel shirts and sweaters with black or dark denim wash skinny jeans. The tights with flowy dresses, a blanket scarf and my leather jacket. My style is on the simpler side as well with a little bit of flair (:.

We have such a similar style! Literally all my staples are a good pair of jeans and a good coat/jacket of some sort. Lately I have been loving this vintage Ralph Lauren jean jacket my aunt handed down to me. I can’t stop wearing it! I think jean jackets look so cute with a choker too. Those Nasty Gal pants are really cute, and I had no idea they had an actual store front! I really want to check out Good American (it’s the denim line buy Khloe Kardashian). I like that they cater towards curvy women, and I am definitely heavier on the bottom with a smaller waist haha. Jeans can become so hard to find! Anyway, I am just rambling now. I am so excited it’s finally cooling off here to wear these things. 🙂

I have also heard about Good American jeans! I would love to get my hands on a pair of those. And yes, literally as long as I have a good pair of jeans and jacket, I can base my outfits around that haha. You should totally do a style post with the RL Jean Jacket! I would love to see it and how you style it and I agree, chokers look so good with everything. Also, def check out the Nasty Gal stores on Melrose and Santa Monica. You will want EVERYTHING in there, I’m sure!
